Great hammock as a starter as it comes with tarp, snakeskin's, webbing and suspension as standard.
Only reason i'm getting shot of it is that it doesn't get used anymore due to more complex and costly hammocks.

I've had one for a few years.
Very well made and easy to use, if a little portly. As I'm over 6', I had to get the Explorer Deluxe Asym Classic, at 1.5kg.
I really like the bug netting and velcro bottom closure. Just sit inside it and the bring your legs in and your sealed away nicely. The tarp gets more use than anything else, as I use it for bivvying as well.
You'll need some sort of bottom insulation. Quilt, wind proof layer, sleeping pad, as you will get cold with any sort of air movement.
Theres plenty of sage advice in the forum regarding set up.

There's a book called Ultimate Hang by Derek Hansen which will tell you all you need to know about hammocking

Well worth it. He also does a blog.

Ukhammocks is a good UK based source of gear.

Under insulation and the avoidance of cold butt syndrome are one of the surprising challenges of hanging.

Some krabs and decent chord are almost essential too.

I don't think it ever beats a bivi for weight but comfort can be pretty fantastic.

I have a DD hammock i like but rarely use because i'm always nervous there won't be suitable trees!

Do you just hope or play it really safe when it gets later in the day?
