We got the bikes out the car at the carpark by Craig Goch Reservoir and rode up the grassy bank to the Roman camp on the BB200 route of old. The weather was spot on!

PB120051 by mjc_226, on FlickrWe made our way across to the top of the byway where we would then descend at full pelt down the common. The skys turned black and it opened up big time on us. Heading up the valley to Elan village on the Sustrans route we got totally soaked! At this point we both decided to take a shorter route so carried on up the cycle route then via the climb up and over a hill that Composite showed me on my last trip ( again from the BB200 route).

Id been telling Hux about this new descent id done however when we got to the top it was pitch black so head torches on we dropped through the woods which was by now a running river and really slippy.
Back to the car we picked up the trailer, i hitched it up and off we went to the bothy. This was fun dragging it around the reservoir NOT.
