Ok two new tyres have arrived. Hoping these will be good for the Winter Event and WRT.

They are WTB Nano 700c x 40 sadly not folding (although Chain Reaction did their best to squash them up).

My postman was really kind as he delivered the final part I need to build my Stooge which was the crankset.

and he also delivered a pair of Salsa Anything cages for on the mukluk ready for the Winter Ride Thing.

Bit last week but....

Berghaus Vapour Storm jacket from Sport Pursuit for me. Been wearing it for the last week and it's very nice.

Also got a "sorry we couldn't be bothered to knock at your neighbour's" card.... for my new Terra Nova Moonlite bivy. Been very excited to see what it's like as this year's model has a midge net.
Spent last Saturday night in my Rab Storm and had condensation on my sleeping bag. I slept with my neoair on the outside as i'm a side sleeper. Interestingly, the condensation was on the area of the bag in contact with the bathtub base which I guess is the least breathable part.
Everyone else had Hunka XL bags and had no condensation....

More non-breathable rather than least breathable. Chances are with a mat inside you'd get less condensation ... or at least less wet as you'd be raised above any condensation that forms on the base.

That's what I figured but having a mat inside makes it feel more restrictive. the snug TN bivy will make it feel more "sleeping bag" like.

Which version of the 'Chronicle' did you opt for? Would be interested to hear how suitable you find it for bikepacking with
Ive gone semi fat on the front of my Peggy, but had to go with a Knard due to availability

Just went for the standard version Mart, when I ordered it sounded like the Exo version was a while off but it transpires they're available too.

A new to me sleeping bag, Alpkit Skyehigh 800. So I had to try it for size on the bike Im going to be using for the Ford Fiesta in January:



And I finally managed to finish building the Stooge after the crankset arrived:





The seat is now level and I will trim the brake pipes once I have the position etc sorted.

I have just fitted the non-EXO Chronicle after the Knard wiped out 3 times on one slimy ride. Sideways Tim said he thought it the more supple tyre and proberbly the better of the two, so I bowed to his superior Knowlege and the £10 saving

First impressions are it grips way better into turns than the knard, not convicred that it is a mud tyre and defiantly doesn't role as well, but it's a great front tyre

Two very useful, but very cheap little things from China

Bar end plugs with LEDs built in - on/off/flash. Very useful for my commuter, my old bar end plugs were knackered. Take 2 AG10 batteries each

Lock laces - elastic bungee cord laces that allow you to stick shoes on quickly without having to tie the laces up. Very useful for one of my pairs of trail shoes that I wear for knocking about in
