Getting started....

Post by Kwozemodo »

Hello

I'm looking at getting started in bikepacking. I've got a sleeping bag, bivvy etc sorted just need to get a bike now (Haven't had one for a number of years now), and was wondering what people suggest.

I was probably thinking about spending around£300-£400 to get started, I don't mind getting a second hand bike to being with to see if I like it.

Was there any recommendations people could make of which bike to get, or what to look for?

Regards

Nick

I think everyones been impressed with the spec of these and someone did a sub 24 on this years BB200 so its certainly hardy enough.

Evans are only showing a small, or Adman was selling his

Alternatively the 2015 model is now available for a few pounds more

That was me on the BB200. Bike rode well after a few initial problems that I sorted before the BB200. The bike completed the BB200 in 23hrs 3 mins so definitely good enough for bikepacking :-)
