Re: Looking for a bridleway?
Gives me a weird feeling comparing the sparse coverage of BWs etc withthe footpaths map
Interesting mapping though, ta

is my tool for gravel ride planning.
the map must be missing some areas. Stratford-upon-avoin is almost bare in footpath/ bridleway versions - but the OS map shows at least a normal amount of FP/ BWs??

Re: Looking for a bridleway?
Guess it will depend on how thorough / what data set the compilers have used.
Also, something shown as a BW on an OS map isn't necessarily a BW as recorded on the "Definitive Map" held by the relevant council. Definitive Map trumps OS.
Good start though

Can't get it to work on my mobile, so not great
Had a look on my pc and it appears I know all 5 paths in my local area.

Nice but lots of bridleways I know just not there. Would be nice if it included all other bike access routes too.

Re: Looking for a bridleway?
I like that.
One of the challenges I've set myself is to ride every bridleway within 5 km of home, which I have already done many times over, then increase it to 10km, 15km etc.
This makes it a lot easier to plan.
I agree with numplumz, it would be good to see a version which also included byways, canals and "traffic free" Sustrans routes.

I'd say using any map that shows BW around mid Wales to plan a route, is just leaving yourself wide open to a world of hurtBe useful for rides in mid Wales

I had quite a choice of possible replies, but I'm sure there will be others with stronger feelings than I
