I've been very happy with my Stans Crests. Although I'm tempted by the new trend for wider rims. Have you had a look at the Velocity Blunts (iirc)?

I have set of the 29er rims on the lurcher and they are vaguely exciting. They built into the best wheels I have ever ridden.

+1, amazing value rims, stayed true so far and have hammered them. Going to build some more up for the divide wheelset...

I never had issues with crests.
I'm mainly on blunts, or duallys now. Both very good though a bit hefty.

If light bicycle did a 29x45mm if buy some

i use mavic 819 rims, they are tubeless no faffing with tape etc, and you can use any tyre with some stans fluid in if you can,t afford tubeless tyres,
they arn,t the lightest but fit and forget and very strong
it's not that I can and others can't, it's that I will and others won't.
