I don't have one sorry, but if you want to pass the mug on I'd be happy to buy it off you.

I am in the market for a mug and a cup but I don't expect to get either. They were such a good buy from Alpkit. They go for silly money on ebay used.

Best alternative for a 450ml cup seems to be Lifeventure at £18

Not what you asked for but  ... the SnowPeak 450ml mugs are lovely, made in Japan from the highest grade Ti. Coupled to an 8g stove, it's pretty much all I use these days.

I have a lifeventure which is fine, that snow peak looks fine too. Do they differ that much?

So, what are the differences?....

From what I can glean, the Lifeventure is smaller (75mm wide x 85m tall) than the Snow Peak (85 x 90) so the latter will be closer to a 'true' 450ml capacity. Lifeventure is £18 delivered. Snow Peak is £19 but one has to add P&P

Thanks all.. didn't realise they were that hard to find. Damn my knock-kneed pedalling and needs for a small frame bag on the road bike .. I have a stainless cup but it's 2x the weight of the ti mug : (

Lifeventure Mug from their site

Capacity: 450 ml Dimensions: 90 x 85 x 85 mm Weight: 60g

..seems they're the same size. Ordered a Fire Maple from ebay, 74×82.5×0.4mm / 330ml, £17. Sub-80mm diameter is the limiting thing here. Coffee will be stronger and meths will last longer!

Couple of potentially useful bits of information

Lifeventure Ti cup is in the sale in blacks (in the shop I went into anyway)

The Snow Peak 450 cup is my favourite cup and fits wonderfully, whilst in its homemdade reflectex cosy, inside an Alpkit stem cell

With regard to the differences, I recall that the Japanese produced stuff (Snow Peak, Evernew) was made via a different process that allowed them to use a thinner / higher grade Ti.

Reply from Alpkit when I asked when new stock would be in. Not withstanding that it is now August:

We are bringing in some exciting new titanium products in late July: our current range has been going strong for quite a time now so we have taken feedback from our team, staff and customers and used it to tweak the established designs and improve the range's usability.

Our product guy has likened it to Doctor Who's regeneration: it will still be the same, but different; with new sidekicks…

This does mean the Mytimug has been tweaked and will not be the same as you remember however we have been out using our new designs and we feel it is a step up in terms of performance.

If you need to have the Mytimug in your life, Esbit have an exact copy over on their site (although it is twice the price) otherwise if you can wait it out, the new designs won't be long: keep your eyes peeled for sneak peaks!
