size bag for anything cages

Post by indy »

I'm about to purchase a 5L (?) dry bag from alpkit to fit a Salsa anything cage, but wondered if anyone has experience of them or is there an alternative option worth considering? I'm really wondering if there's a fatter/wider bag which works well or should I go with alpkit.

I used to use both 5L and 8L Alpkit bags in Anything cages. These were pre- Airlok extra but were very similar (didn't have the extra tie points). The bags never caused any issues ... just the cages*

*now all sorted I'm sure.

Cheers for the advice stu. I think I'll go with 8L Xtra which for obvious reasons makes more sense than the 5L. I'm hoping the problem these cages had is now fixed - I've got the new updated 2014 version so hopefully they'll last :|

I have some of the new ones - if you do an image search, you can see that they are a lot more burly than the old ones. Also heavier too but there you go. :ugeek:

Going by what I've read, welding is now all the way down, whereas previously it was around the fixing points only. So far, these new ones have been fine.
