WTD (ish): STi compatible cable discs

Post by Cheeky Monkey »

Anyone looking to get rid of some?

Thinking BB7 or TRP Spyder type things. Need to be road versions so they will work with the pull ratio of STi (road) levers. Planned to fit to a Raodrat so IS standard fitting or adapters to accomplish.

Would be ideal if they were caliper+discs. 140s OK although a 160 for front would also be nice.

Hoping also for the lighter end of the various options rather than Shimano Deore's ;-)

Moon on a stick also required

Having just fitted some TRP Spyres, I have some Tektro Lyra mechanical road brakes going spare if you're interested?
They've done around 400 miles so fairly new. You can have them with mounts and rotors. Only issue is that it'll be one Tektro and one (new) TRP rotor (both 160) as I've got a rounded bolt on my rear hub so I can't get the original rotor off.

PM me if interested.

I hope so. Did you bother with specific "compressionless" outer? There's some chat about it on forums but hard to tell if it's fact or the ramblings of internet eggspertz

Never heard of it!

I did check that I had the latest model though (with directional pad adjustment arrow on the side) following last year's recall on mk1 versions. Got mine from merlin £125 delivered.
