I like Mart's forecast - better than what the BBC was saying. Mind the weather in schneck could be wildly different from the weather in the NW....
At least its not gonna snow unlike every other bike packing trip I've done in the last week of May

That's it, if it ain't attached, I'll do without it. Plenty room for food from the fridge.

Ready as I'll ever be this year

Ullapool etc. seem to be expecting good weather too.

Wow... looks like it'll be the third time fair weather HT for Alan.

Like my luck couldn't get any worse this month...

Driving to the train station this morning my bike partially fell off the bike rack. Could have been worse, but I've written off a Jones H-bar. On train anyway, but is there anyone in/ near Glasgow with one of the same I could buy or borrow please?

Thanks!

Best I can offer is a standard handlebar. I'll chuck it in the car this afternoon just in case you have no other choice.

Flat or Riser?

I'll throw grips in the car too mate.

I have spare loop bars Ian, but only of use if anyone is passing the HP4 Herts area today, no other way to get one to you from here in time. zero double 7 98 7874 nine five if so, around all day, let me know if so. Also got grips/tape etc in the spares box.

Gosh, that's evil.
Bars aren't really a thing you want to fiddle with if you're looking in to be riding 16h+ for days. Good luck in getting what you need.

I've got a Jones Al 710 Loop bar you can borrow if anyone is passing M6 juncs 23-24 this morning..

Could possibly leave them somewhere to be collected if it'd be later today..

Lots of stuff going on in the background, but fingers crossed Ian should be sorted.

There's so many folk to thank for offering to help get me sorted. Very humbling actually.

A huge thanks to Keep Pedalling. I'm about 45 mins away from some new bars :-bd

What, these guys at http://www.keeppedalling.co.uk/?

The same ones in Manchester, here:

23 Hilton Street
Manchester
M1 1EL

Tel:0161 222 6015
Email: sales@keeppedalling.co.uk
Keep Pedalling is the small bike shop in the city. We're striving for the feel of a classic bike shop, you get a 'Hi' when you walk through the door. We sell bikes, accessories and service. We specialise in commuter and 'adventure' bikes - recreational cyclists, randonneurs, and even racer - but you will probably never see a carbon fibre frame in the shop. The same person you talk to about your bikes needs is the same one who works on it. It's the personal touch that sets us apart.
