Friday night spent putting most of it together, and after a trip to the bike shop for a new rear tyre and a 73mm shell BB, I finally got it at together yesterday.
Put in 60km on it last night and very impressed with the ride. The geometry is only slightly different to the Pegasus, but the higher front end make for a very comfortable position. Steering is very precise without being twitchy and handling sure-footed. Very much looking forward to the HTR on it
Cheers. Manitou forks have the brace at the rear. Looks neater that way I think, and a lot less prime to collecting mud.

I find i get a bit sweaty when i wear mine. The harness blocks out a considerable amount of cooling.
We'll see how it goes. The logistics of what to film and when will be an interesting exercise. I have in mind some specific sections I want to capture, so I may find myself riding without it on for long periods. The main dilemma is, assuming I get some good footage, do I release it next month or wait until November...

Postie brought me a 32Gb card for the GoPro, a bottle of smidge and some misc bike bits to tweak the final set up in the bike. Spare batteries for the GoPro tomorrow and that's everything...
Thanks to my own stupidity, the wrong headset bearing arrived today for my On-One Smoothie Mixer. Put it all back together and the front end of the bike locked solid. Hopefully I've now ordered the right one. I am an arse.
^^^^ Oh man some truly dopey things have come through my front door over the years. Forks with steerer tubes way too short cos I just didn't check the length. Road tyres just too wide for my rims. Clothes that wouldnt fit my kids let alone me. But my fave by far are the six (yes, six) pairs of spangly gold Oury grips I bought because they were 3 for a tenner and I somehow managed to order them twice.
Ordered it when it was discussed about a month ago on STW. Got an email at the time saying out of stock but would be back in end May. Lo and behold it arrived yesterday at work. Nice surprise as I'd completely forgotten about it.

However, for c.£69 and at 27.2mm dia (rare as RHS size) it seemed like quite a deal.
