I have packed a whistle too.
Here's hoping someone takes a comb and tissue paper too :-bd

RobMac, not heard back from you yet so I'm hoping nothing untoward has happened. Mike and his friends are setting off to Blair Athol this evening after work so it may be too late to contact them if you had planned to ride the first day with them. Jamie and I arrive at the station there tomorrow at 12.30 so hopefully you can meet us then. If I don't hear from you by tomorrow morning I will assume you can't make it which would be a shame as I had looked forward to meeting you.

Alpkit harness and Dual Airlok arrived just in time.

And I am having a brew, toying with the idea of fitting my new brakes but don't want the risk the delicate balance of the bike running fine just before a big ride. On the other hand, they are nice and new

Hi Scotroutes, may well have been Mike, Jim and Paul you saw. They stopped to fix something near there, Jamie and I had pushed on as we had a train to catch. Full report soon.

Aye. Jim Paul and I stopped for a snack about there. Was it yourself that made a comment about "having an orgy" in the trees? that made us chuckle.

That was one of my mates.

It was only after we passed that I put two and two together. I think it was the small number of bikes that threw me. How did you find the Feshie/Gaick section? We had come over the Minigaig.

I didn't mind the climb out of Glen Feshie but the singletrack was a struggle.

When flatfishy and I did it we stuck to the track above the forest rather than try the singletrack through it. A bit more of a climb though. The vague singletrack along the river is frustrating eh?

Certainly is frustrating, does it get any better between the two weirs? We cut over to the landrover track to save time.

Nah. It's better just to put up with wet feet.
