looks a good bit of kit my only worry with it, would be folk dumping the fuel cells once they had used them out on the hills.

Price is going to be critical too

Skeptical.

I hate anything that uses a 'replacable' cell (coffee machine pods for example). As VD says, they will just get dumped here there and everywhere.

How can the fuel supply be endless if you have to replace the cell?

The thing only puts out 1amp which is about the same for a Freeloader and only 200ma more than my little (59g) Pico. you can charge these at the wall and they act like a 'fuel cell' by retaining charge and outputting it into your device when connected. for me this is probably of more use than the solar element which I have yet to use in anger.

Would like to know how big it is, what it cost, what it weighs and how much it will charge my devices.

edit: some more info here: http://www.powertrekk.com/pdf/Technical ... rTrekk.pdf

turns out its not that big, does not weigh that much and the capacity it 2.5-5.0w which is quite large. The freeloader is 1.2a capacity and claims it can put 18 hours on an Ipod/Iphone.

still cant get around the 'throw away' fuel cell though

Well the pukks only put out 1amp! rubbish.

200Eu for the unit and 2Eu for the cells. Stick to a battery pack/batteries/solar.
