Pro 2 Evo conversion kit my head hurts worse than the others!!

Post by redefined_cycles »

Hope Pro2 front hub with quick release. Tries to fit it inside a boost fork. Doesn't slot (obviously).

Opens can of worms that holds the boost adaptors. Swaps out the axle ends for a boost set of stubs. Takes to forks and fits perfectly (except for the machining inside the RockShox SID dropouts). But wheel is off centre. Must've fitted em wrong way round, so off comes the end caps and fits the opposite way round.

Well done me, fits wheel inside the forks and now off centre the other way. Concedes to standards and goes looking for an appropriate new fork with longer steerer tube (different story, same book). Then checks the Hope website too see what axle ends I need. I have the exact correct ones.

So what the heck have I done wrong!! You gotta laugh!

No wonder my bike mechanic friends at Sowerby Brothers cycles always look so depressed.

Conversion chart at the bottom which says this adaptor kit should fit (apparently).

Put the spacer in the other side and re-dish the wheel?
Keeps the brake in the right position

Front disc attached. Looks like the calipers aligns perfectly. For the clever clogs that said (haven't checked yet) that the front wheel just needs redishing. Indeed you're obviously right. Apologies to Hope :-bd
