Bike Carrying Packraft - edited first post now £400 approx

Post by JohnClimber »

I've been asked by someone for one of my designed Bike Carrying Packraft which I was helping develop for Norseraft before the company closed.

I will not be setting up a business, I am the companies Brand Ambassidor who handles the paperwork, the customer pays the factory direct and has the warranty with them.

The factory is AllFun over in China and I have had 5 of their quality pack rafts in the past with another on order for myself (a smaller cheaper Base model, coming out soon)

The design is exclusive to me, with a very similar front end to the Alpacka Caribou, with a longer body and has the Norseraft Berserker large white water rear end for extra stability for novice and experienced paddlers and so it sits flat on the water even when unloaded, unlike others that wheelie with the front in the air blocking your view and affecting handling. It's also longer to carry gear under you bike (in front of your feet) and so that you don't hit you bike with almost every paddle stroke like I was doing on my Caribou.

If anyone is interested please let me know as I have an agreement now with the factory to buy singles at a time when ever the customer wants one.

The price WAS $664 including air freight delivery direct from the factory straight to you door. You pay via PayPal direct to the factory.

Update 14/6/25
The Knarr is now available in 2 options

A single colour throughout from the 16 colours to chose from for only $540 (£398.08 at todays exchange rate 14/6/25)

and a mix and match of any colours on any panel and a choice of tape colour too for $565 (£416.51 at todays exchange rate 14/6/25)

Please note they may be Import duty and handling charge to add on arrival, but China does have a bad habit of not putting the full price of single items on their paperwork which might avoid the £135+ VAT and handling charge. which is very naughty indeed

Pick you colours and no logo so that everyone will be unique
The tubes are 210d single sided TPU, the black base is 420d double sided TPU
8 tie down points, 2 carry handles, large seat, backrest, removable skeg, patches in your colour choice, inflation bag and strap to tie it tight
The packraft measures 273cm long x100mm wide
Internal measurement 150cm long x 39cm wide at the hips.
It weighs just 3.2kg

Max load capacity bike, gear and paddles - 230kg

Someone asked me why this packraft is called The Knarr

As I designed this cargo carrying packraft for Norseraft who had packrafts in their range called the Viking and the Longship, I called it the Knarr as this was the Cargo ship used at the time of the Viking invasions.

Because their sales have gone well, China have come to a new price agreement to lower the price even more.

Prices are delivery to UK mainland addresses and include the UPS or DHL air freight charge of around $120 in the packraft price.

There is a new but very basic info website for the range I'm listing for the UK is here https://www.perfectpackrafts.com/
