For a couple years now I've been wanting to get into bikepacking and I've been putting together gear and a bike for a big trip from London to Croatia with a mate. I've not got my bike together yet but most of the gear I've got so I'm doing an "icebreaker" ride from London to Bristol, where a couple of my mates live. The plan for the Croatia trip is to do a 70/30 split of wild camping and campsites/bnbs and 50/50 road and gravel, so this route aims to mock that. I don't know If I'm an idiot for planning to camp in more densely populated areas, but I'm really keen to try it and this is a good oppurtunity so I guess I'll see.
Regarding the actual route itself, most of what I've read mentions following the canal and that's what most of this route is compiled of. It's ~230km in length. The most I've ever cycled in a day before is 60km so I'm also not sure if that's something I'm being a bit optimisitic about either. Anyways, route is below if anyone wants to have a look and any advice is greatly appreciated. I probably need it!
