Big up to Exposure service department

Post by JohnClimber »

My 2016 Exposure Six Pack Mk6 had stopped holding it's charge, so Shaf suggested I contact their warranty department.

So I do, I spoke with a really helpful guy call Matt Gibbs, who suggested on the phone that it would need a new battery.

So it was sent back and I paid £84 ((including VAT and shipping back to me), a week went buy and Matt contacted me saying that

"we were not happy that the light was performing properly with the new battery.
We have since replaced a circuitry component and retested successfully yesterday. It has been charged up overnight and will be despatched this afternoon."

All for no extra cost and it arrived today in full working order :-bd

Thanks USE and Exposure, top work

Had a similar experience with a mark 1 joystick that is still going strong on a replacement battery

But some stupid designs.
Trace R rear light let water in when bike was lying down outside tent in rain, silly rubber band seal didn't do its job very well. Water got into electronics and killed the light.
Sent it back and they repaired it f.o.c. but if the design was better they wouldn't have had to.

Yes, the TraceR switch is rubbish - get the band slightly out of alignment and it's nigh on impossible to switch off (or on). That said my front trace lay in a very damp woodland for a year, a rodent had a go at the rubber band, but it still worked when I found it.

Had charging issue with joystick 12. Sent back they replaced battery and it's been faultless for last 2yrs or so of regular use. Can't fault service department. Recently got a tracer and yes I can see the potential problem point, will see how it goes
