Helmet rear light

Post by Valerio »

Got a new helmet (trek velocis).

It fits my head ok, it's light, it fits my glasses....but I'm having a bit of trouble fitting headlights on it.

The front light (fenix hmr65) i can deal with, i think, but the rear lights i have simply don't work with it.

I'm looking for some recommendations for rear lights, ideally something that could be mounted with some velcro.
Even better something that could be mounted/removed one handed while wearing the helmet (unless you have some clever way to find out if your rear light is on!).

These are ok for a tenner, on first impression they don't look particularly waterproof, but i had one on the back of my helmet for a few years without any issues..
If you have a search about there's different colours available..

I have a couple of these - one on my seat post using the supplied rubber strap, and another on my helmet, attached via an o-ring after removing the rubber strap.

These are really good, we use them at work! Take 2xCR2032 batteries so tiny enough to carry spares.

Thank you!

I like the look of those!
The issue I'm having is that the rear of my new helmet seems to have no flat surface whatsoever....so most lights just bounce and move around :(

The ones that I mentioned stay put, if you use a short enough o-ring ( attached so that they straddle the bit of helmet between two ventilation holes, which is not flat, either
