Recently read that we only have (on average) 80 summers in our life
Quite depressing if this summer is counting as one of them…
Makes you sort of think though (I’m just hitting my 40th summer)

On the plus side, it's said that us cyclists on average have an additional ten years. So you're not even half way yet
And of course we're Boners so don't/shouldn't give a monkeys what the weather's like!

That does mean there are also 80 lots of the rest of the year too..?
My ultra cynical side (the above wasn't enough, right?) also thinks I probably wasted the first 20 or so summers, and the final 10 might be lost to infirmity and carpet bowls.

I read that last bit as “carpet bowels”

Yeah but I’m just worried what I’ll do with the extra ten years. Soup through a straw or coke n hookers ?!

I can see you've given the situation a lot of careful thought

I agree, we've had to retreat to the Pyrenees to avoid the continuous unbroken sunshine at home, it's worked a treat, we had a massive thunderstorm on Saturday night which caused landslides and cancellation of the road segment of the triathlon that Mrs PB took part in on Sunday morning. Oh how we laughed.

E-bikes and Viagra. Let's be realistic, eh?
