Right, so I bought em for a tenner with some delamination at the pockets. The welding was coming loose and what better way to assess a repair than walking a 1000 miles in em.
First attempt was to use hemming tape. Which was a bit poor as the shop had sold me tape to curl up the bottoms of trousers. Next came the glue gun as can be seen the residue below. Am on mile 45 at the mo but the hot glue didn't quite do the trick.
In the end I've had to buckle in and get the gutterman thread out. Could have done this first but assumed the trousers were too light-material to handle thread. Turns out it's managing it nicely. So today dropping the family off at the in-laws I've brought the trousers with me.
Only problem was the the glue was coming away again. Brought the thread/Gutterman and a needle and have performed 'a repair'.

Going through hot(now cold obviously) glue can be painful on the thumbs. Didn't have my thumbing so used a pen top. Previous pics of repairs at miles 15 and 30ish, below
Anyone in their right mind might wonder what 1000 miles has to do with cycling. Well, as we all know any of Stuarts routes have lots of bog trotting in mind. Last year I had to drop out of the yearly big ride arranged him him and Dee due to my final bog-trotting training causing me to sieze up (only me, not the bike). But I don't plan on that ever happening again God-Willing.

Currently 50% thread and 50% glue. But will see how we gets on. £100 trousers for a tenner and some fettling. Can't be bad
