Interesting, I wonder how durable they'll be? I use the xc trail versions of the Vittoria tyres as I've heard the xc race have sidewalls vulnerable to punctures? Not such an issue in an xc race but not so handy miles from anywhere.

YMMV, but I use Mezcals on my gravel bike and don't notice much buzz from them. They're real nice but they're not so great when things get slippy, and I don't think I'd want the lesser grip those Peyotes offer, but maybe I'm being pessimistic and still seeing the trails through wintery eyes!

Mezcals are pretty smooth to be fair, similar to the Geax Saguaro I used and liked before. I'm a sucker for a proper smooth centre tread or something with no buzz at all though, makes longer stints in the lanes feel better. Generally means zero braking ability on wet grass too but they're ok on gravel or rocky trails. I'm thinking summer all round bikepacking tyres rather than MTB trips.

Not bikes or gear but I saw earlier this am that Ride The Divide is being revisited or a part 2 is being made. Not a huge fan of the original aside from how the landscapes and size of the route came across, interested what comes out though.

I loved the original, mainly for its sense of landscape and amatuer adventure. Mike Dion was cringeworthy, but that aside it was good. If nothing else it'll probably show what has changed on the racing side of things, and how very much different a beast it now is..

I quite like it when a manu does a spectacular fail. I suppose a skin suit itself is fine if you are into that kind of thing (and don't need to go to the loo in a hurry which rules it out for me) but adding a hydration bladder - can you imagine a 2 litre bladder sloshing around on your back?? Most gravel racers use bottles in any case.

Zebra skin onesie would be far cooler

I'm liking the look of the crown as well as or in place of touch screen as I really dislike those, but I bet it's gonna be pricey. My guess based on the high end Garmin's is £850/$999.

I sold my Suunto 9 (none pro or barometer version) to my buddy. In anticipation at the prices of a Race or Vertical coming down. They've not done so much interim replacement is an Old New Stock stainless steel ebay special. Accurate Skymaster.

Mate looked at me perplexed the other day whilst he overtook on a 240 mile roadie race through Wales to London. "You're wearing a super heavy stainless steel watch, how heavy is that", then another remark of, "thought you'd have a Garmin or other smart watch.

Couldn't keep up to explain my situation. That I'm only riding with a stainless watch cos I can't afford a £500 replacement at the moment

Sweet looking P-29. Just a nice XC/MTB frame, they didn't need to say it's drop bar compatible because it doesn't need it. Sure it would be good on lighter off road, but it'd be decent on actual mountains too! 29x2.3 tyre clearance seems on the small side though. Very similar to my Titus, which is very good.

That does look nice. Angles all a bit old-school tho, at least they look more that way when the fork length listed in the geometry table is 50mm shorter than the 120mm fork it's suggested to work with. Makes the BB quite high, the reach rather short and the STA quite slack. Most likely a duff geometry chart.

I like the idea and clearly it adresses other needs than ours. Spectacular fail to not see that

Most? Whilst I'm not sure about this, just because most (if it were true) do it, it doesn't make it the best way to carry water for yourself.
Looking through reports of the big gravel races I remember seeing many using bladders in small rucksacks/vests. Take aero further and carry it in the front like cool Lachlan Morton.
I guess UCI will soon come up with rules regarding "fairings" on clothing done with bladders, cool packs etc.
