Ok, got the GR's but not one for the start/finish, is it the car park opposite the Wynnstay Arms?

Anyone got any good tips for a OSGR to LAt/Long GPs co-ordinates programme, I'm using this but not too sure about it:

Everyone's very quick off the mark with routes ... remember to watch some of the contour lines, a fantastic descent :D could soon turn into a miserable slog :(

Tweaking route using profile to see which has the least height gain! So far got all the GR's in place.

Yep, will be mostly missing that one out as it looks like a return trip to bag that one.
Looking at doing a couple of routes to cater for either wet or dry weather, the driest route (if it is raining) picks up about 6 of the points, not got round to sorting out a dry weather route yet but it is looking like a total of 67.8k for the trip.

At the moment, Bivvy point 4 on the list is looking favourite for me, it's only 3.4k from Mach (pub for tea and supper) and can plot a quiet 23.4k road route back form there via Mach for breakfast if the weather is poor show.

Have all GR's for 72km anti-clockwise. Bust most of it out on Saturday, will be an early start!

Bivi point 2 is exactly half way (and I mean exactly, 24.54 miles in, route length is 49.08, which is weird). But that leaves the biggest climb of the ride for first thing on Sunday so may push on to Bivi 3 depending on weather and legs, as bivi 2 looks a lot more sheltered and 500ft lower...

mmmm i'm just wondering how people are getting low mileages and still getting all of the GR?

I'm comming in at a realistic 90k but i'll be missing out Bivi stop 5

I think I have about 67km for Saturday, with an overnight at a far flung corner, then 30km or so on Sunday. Am going for all CPs and am not spending too much time minimising mileage as this is a training ride for the big events of the summer. Looking forward to it now, especially as I've just got a new GPS.

Hey folk, I've only played up until now and intend on cracking my route this evening, though have one slight issue.
I want to plot the route in bikehike but as per the reccomend entering the GR's is a great help, and bikehike says no less I'm missing something. When I use the linked site however I can't lay the GR's as way points to plot to... I was intending on plotting the GR's then uploading them as a GPX to bikehike as i find it slightly easier to use and correct mistakes etc.
I've only plotted a hand full of routes and would welcome any tips?

I prefer Bikehike to wheres the path, although wtp seems to have more features.

As a guide i'd say use wtp to plot all of the GR's and this will give you the 'shape' of what you are trying to link up. Certin GR's will look to fit together and parts of the route will form, where as other GR's are a bit more tricky.

Once you have a draft route, just start plot the route into bh. I generally plot an inital route around all of the GR's and then use 'drag edit' to fill in the detail between the GR's.

Also worth noting that things are on the ground which might not be on the map, and also the other way around.
