Ticked off an item from my bucket list - completed the Great Glen canoe trail today. Corpach to Inverness on the Caledonian Canal, and some big lochs, including Loch Ness.

Blinkin' Nora, it's a rollercoaster.

Last week I bored you with my traumatic experience trying - and dismally failing - to book an Amyl and The Sniffers gig. Well a load more venues appeared this week, including Brum, Newcastle, Glasgow, and one for you Dave - Brizzle. And also Camden Roundhouse - on two days.

So a couple of days ago I go to the Roundhouse website and of course they give priority to "members" (£30/yr to you, Sir), and super-priority to "Legends" (£1500/yr to YOU, Sir!), and us plebs have to wait until today at 10am.

As recommended by our Sean, I play the part of an old duffer and sit here at 09.50 hitting "refresh" continuously. At 09.59.59 I get a "book tickets" screen. Hurrah! Big letdown - SOLD OUT. ALREADY? Both days? Depression.

I text my pal Lord Jezzer to bear the bad news. In the meantime I look at Ticketmaster and they claim to have sold out as well. However there's tickets available at Brum and Bristol (get 'em booked Dave)- bit far away. Jezzer then looks at Ticketmaster himself for the Roundhouse and by some miracle the old basket gets two tickets in his basket! Quick, hit PAY. Done!

I'm just recovering with a nice cup of tea and a sit down now. With a biscuit.

I’ve watched the TT most years off and on for about 30 years on TV, watched tons of on board stuff online, been to short circuit racing plenty of times but holy hell, that was unbelievable!!

It's a cheery Sunday for me. The rail project I've been involved in opened this week with smiles all round. Total mayhem right up until the last minute but standing in Leven High st. today watching lots of smiling people gushing enthusiasm over the new rail line made it all worthwhile. (I think!) Just two bridges and 25k of cycleways to go in now....
