Strange there's no mention of it on their homepage, only when following this link, and it only shows about four itemsBridlewayBimbler wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 6:11 pm Alpkit are having a sale. Their biggest ever apparently?!

Up to 50% Discount or more

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Just needed some tubeless tape and popped into Halfords as I was passing. They've got Stans NoTubes kits with tape, sealant, and valves for £15. They had 'Road' and 'MTB'. I needed the 'Road' as that came with 21mm tape for old-school narrow rims.
Edit: What Lazarus said. Doh!

Flask for a tenner
https://www.bananaindustries.co.uk/prod ... 32oz-990ml
Comes with three free pairs of socks too. Got the flask last month and using it for water, works well for that. No idea of how well it works for hot drinks.
They’ve also got 15% of sunglasses and socks, so bagged a pair of polarised glasses for £8.50 when I ordered a flask for the mrs voodoo

I recently got a Kenda Honey badger XC 29er tyre off them for £13. Worth a look if you're making an order. They have quite a few cheap tyres on the govoodoo_simon wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 1:13 pm Flask for a tenner

Some may be interested to know that following Banana Industries going into liquidation last year, the company was bought by Dave Loughran, founder and former owner of PlanetX and legendary bike industry wheeler-dealer. I once spent a very entertaining day with Dave while writing a magazine feature on PlanetX. Quite a character.
Re: Bargain Alert Thread
You can tell it's a Dave Loughran shop can't you, it's just too much fun to browse. Everything from Campy chainrings to a ti coffee press to a Doobtube
Only just resisted a set of tyres or a saddle while I was there.
Felt sauna hat, anyone? Looks suitably bivi/woodsy to me.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I saw all the banana industries posts so had a look at their site... Was about to order various stuff, and then had a look at where they are - turns out I go past their back wall on my way home.
Called in this afternoon, and it's an Aladdin's cave of crazy stuff! Loads of lamps and other shiny stuff and then bike things on racks too.
Picked up a large bottle, free socks, tin of glueless patches and a Michelin E-Wild front tyre for £35!
Tyre alone is twice that on rrp... Think I'll be back for more soon! The 2 guys working there were really friendly and chatty too

Terrifying, to be honest...I could easily have left with way too much stuff, just as well it's not payday yet!Bearlegged wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 5:04 pm I hadn't realised you could call in. That's dangerous news...
