Has anybody installed the Ratio Technology kit on new SRAM components?
I need shifters, chainset (not sure what size), derailleur and cassette (not sure what sizes).
They will fit on a Sonder Ti Gravel frame.
I don't want to spend the earth if that is possible nowadays.
Any advice on gear ratios gratefully received.
Thanks

Re: Installing Ratio Technology
I run a Ratio Tech cage on a Rival mech to handle a 52 cassette, but have left that 11 speed rather than upping to 12 by switching out the shifters innards. Can thoroughly recommend!
I'm not sure I follow what you're looking to achieve though with the parts list you mention needing. Are you looking to upgrade/increase an existing groupset's compatibility?

Re: Installing Ratio Technology
I've bought a GRX 820 Groupset in the end. I've just a few more parts to get and then I can start building the bike up. I had a few problems fitting a large ratio cassette as one needs a different freewheel body.
Re: Installing Ratio Technology
Glad you sorted it but for reference, you can get 'large ratio' cassettes for most freehub bodies: I'm old school and still have Shimano HG on most my wheels. You just tend to lose out on the smallest cog over the SRAM XD ones: 11-52 rather than 9-52 or whatever.highandwild wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 4:07 pm I had a few problems fitting a large ratio cassette as one needs a different freewheel body.
Re: Installing Ratio Technology
Also usingbstandard cassettes amd ratio.( after hyppy mentiomed them)
I put a pull adapter on a 12 speed xx1 mech.to.give me 11 speed
I run a double 42 rear and 50/34
I use a bar end friction shifter for trim
Its an effective solution IMHO
As a double i dont think you could go any bigger (.total.differemce)as little little is sub optimal but does work
