Aye, enjoying doing what you like doing at this time of year
Looking like good weather tomorrow so I feel a seasonal bike ride coming on!

Re: Happy Christmas
So many complex and ambivalent emotions involved with this whole Christmas thing ...
Whether or not it floats your (gravy) boat, thanks for your great company for another year, and hope we will all find something to do with this day that makes us feel at least a little bit good.
May take the canoe out for a little spin before dark, and going to the beach tomorrow

Re: Happy Christmas
Feliz Navidad from sunny Cataluña, had a nice walk up a local mountain this morning and was treated to a temperature inversion known as Emburgada. It had cleared by the time we got down, quite a chilly wind coming from the Pyrenees but crystal clear as it has been for a couple of weeks. Also saw a pair of Golden Eagles as evidenced in the wildlife thread.

If you like maps and have a dry sense of humour, this is worth sourcing (got it today as a present)

Re: Happy Christmas
4th day of Christmas obligation stuff
Roll on tomorrow when I can actually get some space
Both sides of the family are alight (most of the time) but 4 days of it starts getting silly

Re: Happy Christmas
Going pretty well here. Had my parents & the in-laws over for the day yesterday, no issues at all - I was mostly cooking or playing with the kids so a good day...
Wife and kids got me a pair of ski goggles and a refresher ski course (after snowboarding for the last 25 years) at snowdome, so all happy there too.
Got out for a fell run this morning, and then out to the park so my daughter could try out her new BMX. Again, all going ok. Obviously there's been the odd grumpy moments (there are 10 and 13 year olds in the house) but
.
Have an excellent winter festive time, whatever you like to call it!

From a certain point of view, it could be said I ate too much cheese.
But that's not a world I want to live in.

I made a successful vegan tiramisu for the daughter’s boyfriend. Never doing that again

I've made this one a couple of times: https://veganonboard.com/easy-vegan-tiramisu/ It does a very good impression of real tiramisu.Dave Barter wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 8:55 pm I made a successful vegan tiramisu for the daughter’s boyfriend. Never doing that again

I made the sponge fingers which was probably the hardest bit

Impressive! Decent sponge without egg is a real pain - well done!Dave Barter wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 10:18 pm I made the sponge fingers which was probably the hardest bit
