Bit of a rubbish day at the office. After having not done any training for a week or so (but hopwfully that translates to not being broke or behind on house/loft renovations) today was/is the day I go out. Naturally with nothing less than a Magic Mary up back. First I'd need to mount it though!

Weights checked after removing the (almost) worn Maxxis Rekon+.

New Magic Mary 27.5 x 2.6 = 1350g
Worn Maxxis Ignitor 27.5 x 2.8 = 980g
Specialized Butcher GRID 27.5 x 2.8 = 1136g
Vitt Mezcal new(ish) 27.5 x 2.6 = 860g

Then salvaged the sealant from the removed Mezcal and applied it into the Magic Mary. It felt very unsupple and hard to handle. So much that I had to even get the magnet out to confirm it's not wired! It's not thankfully.


After reaching this stage and a broken Pedros lever I decided I need the hair dryer to give a bit of warmth. No joy and even with the valve loosened it's just too tight. Bwforw heuting the finger too much or breaking the other two levers I've given in. The Specsh can go back on for now and maybe I'll get another Magic Mary but in 2.8... Maybe I'll not risk it and go for a Wicked Will and sacrifice a bit of trail holding.

To be fair, it is DH specific but I've never seen a tyre this tough. Not even the DH Maxxis in 2.5 (which weighed about 1200g also). Oh well... Least some trainings been done fettling the tires.

Some Vittoria Mezcal 27.5 × 2.6. Too slippery for my needs. Ridden less than 40 miles probably.

very tempted - are these the grey sidewall folding ones? I'd need to check they fit in the back (I've got a 2.6 Barzo, so if that goes, these should be fine). Should be able to arrange for collection. Got to be less slippery than Schwalbe G-one speeds...

My favourite Jersey and my first one from them lot that Stu thinks are too expensive. Just can't throw it away but equally I have bought another in slightly different colour from fleabay.

Had some bobbling years ago but that's gone now as they are now miniature holes. Only seen when you hold it to the light like tiny little pellet holes around the belly. It's a lovely Jersey and I just can't bring myself to throw it away. Equally I can't be bothered to put it on an ebay charity listing only (for 99p starting) to have someone after tell me it's not in mint nick.

Merino wool 60% I think. That mark in the pic around the shoulder, it's just water as I wore it on today's 20 mile hike for Friday prayers. In fact, I actually saw a cyclist coming opposite way with exact same shirt and I couldn't help but shout him 'same jerseys'. To which he must've thought I'm an idiot at being so excited!

Nah. No donation needed. I'm just glad it's having the last few seasons used put of it. My wardrobe is a mess with too much gear. I'll also throw in a pro team TT Jersey. Again not in the best nick but I didn't like that it showed through.

That's great. Thanks Stu. No payment needed. Next time you see someone Sat outside the local shopping/petrol station or whatnot. Just buy em a Tuna Sandwich (of allergic to tuna then pickle or egg mayo will do mate). Thanks again and hopefully they both fit and you can get a year or more out of em.

I washed the merino one, but didn't bother with the yellow/aero one. Cos it's just been sat unloved after I realised it was a bit see through. Some shred marks on from some local brambles probs.

Shimano 'SH ME200 S L'. Don't ask me ehat it all means. Have plenty life left though one of the mesh covers is slightly ripped from a nail (just noticed).

Had em freshly fluid back by Timpsons a few months ago, but now Ton has given me some DHBs so these would be surplus. Best thing about these is that the inner sole comes out and it's just rubber under. So they dry out really easy.

Just want the tenner I spent having em glued back to life and maybe postage. Or I could drop in person if your close. Size is eu46 and I'm a 10.5. Fit me excellent with socks on.

Shimano sm501 winter spd boots. I don't think they've ever been waterproof, just water resistant. But they have gotten me through the last couple of winters. Sadly I washed em at 95c (long story, BB200 related, brain wasn't working right and I was trying to do two things at once whilst cleaning out the washing machine drawer before reproofing some goretex garments!!) and other than them surviving and still working, I actually made em a half size smaller.

Just worn em today without the insoles and they were fine throughout a 55 miler ride. But when wearing with my insoles, they'll be just a bit tight for any hiking!!

Basically the heel digs in whilst walking for me now. So can't risk an epic with em!

£20 posted. Originally size is 46 EU but I reckon someone that takes Shimano 44 or 45 will be able to make good use of em. If you don't get on with em then I'm happy to refund (minus postage costs). Happy to take an offer or give em for postage if no one wants at £20 ONO.

One or both of the above pairs of shoes now gratis. Hopefully someone gets another season or two out of the winter boots (but without the insole if you're a 46) and the summer boots have definitely got good time left. Who cares about a bit of mesh that's coming apart!

If you can sort postage, that'll be ace. Not sure if they'll come with cleats but I'll see how I feel when attempting to remove.
