Artura Esker Trail Trousers cheap sizes M and L.
I have just received M and they are perfect fit for me 186cm 91kg and 33-34inch waist.
I might even order another pair. They will do the job for bikepacking, commuting, camping.

As much as I detest Amazon these are now <£25. Only one pretty useless pocket but otherwise seem very good having tried them onKuman wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 2:48 pm Artura Esker Trail Trousers cheap sizes M and L.

I didn't know the guy or have any of their stuff, but still a sad situation. However, I have now bought a new down jacket which has been overdue for a while. Thanks John.JohnClimber wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 9:16 pm Sad news from Criterion

Which did you get Andy? The hydro? £75?... Missus told me she would buy me one a year since so this was the ideal time. Hopefully we got sizing right!!thenorthwind wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 7:02 amI didn't know the guy or have any of their stuff, but still a sad situation. I'm medium in the Rab microlight so went for a large in the hydro/criterion jacket. Said it's an athletic fit so didn't wanna risk some Ra*ha sizing!

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Yeah the extra for the hydrophobic treatment seems like a no-brainer. The small seemed like it would be a good fit for me based on the measurements but a) I'm long so extra length in the body and arms is always good, b) I only wear a down jacket when it's cold, when I'm going to have layers on anyway, c) they were suggesting to size up anyway, I went medium.redefined_cycles wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 8:40 amWhich did you get Andy? My only reservation was it seems like missing a trick to put all that premium down in a stitch-through shell, but TBH I haven't looked to see how common better baffle constructions are in jackets, as opposed to bags. Also couldn't see whether there's a baffle behind the zip, something that's notable by it's absence on my old one. But I'm not complaining, it's a steal at that price regardless, and something I was going to buy anyway.
Re: Bargain Alert Thread
There are a few hydro jackets still available @£70 which is a bargain
Re: Bargain Alert Thread
My old Rab jacket has got clumpitus after its last wash (and it's 7 years old) so I've given this a punt.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Paul... what jacket please. Is it a microlight?? Can I try and recycle it (for making arms into cosies for my water bottles on the aeverest probably). Lwt me know how bad it is and how much you want for it

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
It is a microlight but I was actually going to look into getting it 'repaired' eventually since otherwise it's in good nick - I know rab does all sorts of repair and refurbish options, I've just chased it up yet.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Good man. Yes, they're ace and Rab are deep into repairing stuff now (forgot about that for a mo so cutting it to make a bottle cost or two would be bad ethics)... I had mine (second owner) and it's still going strong with my mate. Gifted it him cos he does alot of charity work and deserved a decent jacket for his meagre frame

Maybe we can get together and have a hydro jacket bivy one day in the winter

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Yes, sorry to hear about them closing, I owned a sleeping bag from them a few years ago that was top quality and a really good price.JohnClimber wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 9:16 pm Sad news from Criterion

Anyway, took advantage of the offers and purchased a down jacket which arrived yesterday in a box. At first I thought they'd forgotten to pack the jacket as the box was so light!

Thanks, that's a proper bargain. 10% heavier than the Sunrace it will eventually replace, but a third of the price.Hamish wrote: ↑Sun Jul 02, 2023 11:33 pm SRAM 12 speed (the HG ones) cassettes for £25 in Wiggle/CRC

50% heavier than a garbaruk 10% of the price
I am almost at the point of buying the cheap one and saving the lightweight one for special occasions
I have one on the FS ,as not very weight conscious on that, and they work fine IME

Titus Silkroads are now £1400 instead of £2000
https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBTISRGX/ ... nture-bike
Just need code TITUSMTB30 to get the discount.
I know they’ve been cheaper but it’s still a lot of bike for the money
