Is there a way in which I can get email alerts when one of my posts gets a reply? Thanks.

Yes, check the "Notify me when a reply is posted" checkbox in the Options. They appear nearer the bottom of the page, i.e. under the massive textarea and buttons...
There are theories at the bottom of my jargon.

Thanks Boab. I was looking for an option to cover all posts but this is better.
