Hi, looking for an all purpose rigid fork for my Inbred 29er so I can add bottle cages and/or a front rack for low rider panniers should the muse strike. I've seen the Salsa Firestarters which look the business but wonder if anyone knows of other options?

Might get Fargo forks cheaper now the firestarters are out. Salsa enabler does all that and lets you run a spare back wheel iirc.
Exotic forks are a consistent diameter so you could run monkii cages or use jubilee clips. They do all ally ones if jubilee clips on carbon sounds like a bad idea.

I like my Enablers ... as JS says pretty much the same as Fargo V2 except they're spaced at 135mm. I run a SS rear wheel in mine.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Bear in mind the firestarters are suspension corrected for 100mm. Fargo forks and enablers aren't, so the frame you are using will play a part in what is suitable.

Cheers chaps. Looks like the Firestarters are front runners for the moment. Don't really want a 135 front end as I'd have to build a new wheel and I think the Inbred handles best on 100mm forks. Charles Le Velo Mongre might be getting a few quid from me shortly.

I got a Fargo v2, but actually never run it on my 29er! I've only ever used it on my 26er.
:) I like the feel of it though, stiff enough etc.
