Hello guys/gals tickets go live tomorrow (1st of Febuary7pm) and we have a gravel and mtb option. Both will be 100 miles in distance but probably more climbing for the mtb mob.
Same set up as last year Camping /toilets /food/coffee and a free bar the night before although donations will be accepted for the 2 main charities this year St Gemmas Hospice and Riders Resilience

* I once rode my lo-pro triathlon bike from Centre Parcs near Penrith, that ride didn't last long. I.e. as long as it took me to get off the A66 and encounter the first uphill section...

Unless your gravel bike fits big tyres, you may be better off on the Scandal anyway. Unless you're racing of course........

Pretty much the only reason I've built up this Scandal, is to do stuff like Jennride and YD300 and what not. I really didn't fancy them on my gravel bike...

Rather depends on the route tbh over to ambleside then around langdales/Grizdale/Windermere and ferry back is very gravel friendly( actual proper lakes/mountains I would not be advising a gravel bike )

Getting close to the event £30 plus booking fee gets you free beer(donation) ;-) plus chilled tunes the night before with wraps and pizzas on offer. Non riders can camp over if the wish toilets and washing facilities available. Campsite open 1pm Thursday untill Tuesday.

No issues here. Downloaded gravel route to komoot and garmin. Roll on end of May.
I need to be back home Sunday afternoon so will be doing it in one go on Saturday.

Totally missed them, sorted now... well I have the route, still need the legs to ride it but it's weeks away yet

Very confused by all the loops!!

That was fairly typical of the first few JennRides - it meant you could cut things short if time was pressing, state of party, etc. Unless you haven't ridden in the Lakes before and want to do the full route then everything is up to you really.

Anyway, looking at Rich's Strava link it seems like he had one hell of a lie in for his bivvy 13 1/2hrs moving, 102 1/2hrs overall

Elapsed time was due to a family commitment (funeral) and work i.e. I rode from Staveley to Troutbeck 17 miles then stopped the clock then rode back to Staveley on Tuesday then on Saturday after work 3pm rode from Staveley to Troutbeck then started the clock again so the whole ride was logged .

Amazing 338 riders have entered with a 181 157 spilt in favour of the mtb route 350 is the max so if you have not entered hurry up!!
Film night organised for the Friday for an hour or so, then live fiddlers and such to end the night!
