Post by Matt »

Right thinking that I my uselessness recently and wondering if anybody fancies a last day (nearly) of 2011 bivi ?

Proper lazyman do:

Meet up in Mach at 12pm midday on the 30th December
Quick pint & a pie
Set off into the hills
Nice and slow social pace
Bivi / hammock / tent whatever
Cook off for the best dinner
Whisky
Sleep (or lack of)

If it was closer to the border I might be able to get a pass but I think my social secretary might have words to say about another trek out west considering I'll be on the M'nB two weeks later. Otherwise I'd defo be up for another trip.

You missed the yearly cook off last week, and I think I duly retained my crown. Mind you, the competition wasn't exactly fierce.

Or make it near Aberdare and we can drag Pete out and maybe Steve or Ian.

Up for a S wales one - I may even have a new tarp by then! My wife is poorly ATM though - I'm not sure how long she'll be out of action so I may still be tied up with child minding/driving duties

Oh yes ... I think the lukewarm, semi-raw Christmas puddings will be regarded for many years as your crowning glory :D

I think as head chef you should really take ultimate responsability for all food served ... I'm sure Ainsley would ;)

I don't think you can get a car much bigger!

Big daft dog and a load of presents doesn't help...

Righto, I'll take up the baton.
Black mountains it is.
My pink tickets been approved.
Abergavenny, noon, 30th December.
I'll be hammocking again. If anybody wants to try hanging I can lend you a spare one from my collection.

If its any use to you I can lend you a bike and frame bag at this end, you'll just need your kit and harness/seat pack.
