What do you usually do with the green dots?

In OS map I mean. The key for em says that you need to check with the local highways to see what's on the ground. Do you actually do that or just put em in your route anyway and if an angry farmer comes out just state it was green dots and 'I was coming to check if it's rideable".

Bit of a dilemma for me especially not being in Scotland where you can ride everything (no shizzle Sherclock) or in Wales where everywhrres rideable...

I always include them as part of a route when they come up, never had an issue yet. They often appear to be more like byways than BW on the ground in my experience.

Red or green dots are OS's way of marking an unclassified road that still has public access. The 4x4 and trail bike brigade use these so we can too. In theory you could check the list of public roads at your local Highways dept. but I'd just go and ride them, you'll be fine.
