Not sure about vanilla stouts but I can recommend Espresso Martinis with vanilla vodka.

Cloudwater collaboration with Stigbergets Bryggeri, a Farmhouse IPA. No stouts or chocolate to be seen.

A Love Lane Imperial Stout (10%). Expecting the worst, since I bought it in Lidl for £2.50 when they were selling off stuff after Christmas, just to see how bad it could be. First impressions: not going to change my world, but I've had worse.

Oof. Delicious.

Drinking-in the sun whilst drinking in the sun. A nice mug of filtered coffee for the worth

We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

A rather cheeky chocolate and banana Imperial stout from vocation brewery, at 11.4% it’s numbing the inevitable in the rugby

Jaysus. Drunk out of a wine glass or hip flask? Must be our ABV record. Bear might be able to compete but I'm out (*)BigdummySteve wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 10:08 pm A rather cheeky chocolate and banana Imperial stout from vocation brewery, at 11.4% it’s numbing the inevitable in the rugby![]()

Oh... that's a lovely one. Also really like their collab with Brewgod. Tasty!
Enjoying an after ride local beer from Mein Emmental brewery. Nothing too fancy, just a lovely Bière de garde style.

Re: What are you drinking now?
Oh dear, Reg again.
Perchanced to find ourselves in Bakewell - I blame Mrs Perrin, what a Bakewell tart she is - so obviously rude not to pop in to Thornbridge.
I explained to herself that I was going to treat her to a nice pizza. Which actually I was, but it just happened to be in the brewery....
Twas indeed a nice pizza but unfortunately the shop was open as well which meant I could furnish myself with supplies of their (almost) new brew. Of course! Vanilla stout! Another new one for Reg. I was only going to buy two because we'd walked there with no bags but yer man gave me a cardboard 'six pack'. Two would unbalance it so I had to have four, one in each corner, with a mixture. The middle gap then looked a bit silly so I had to add two more....
Next adventure will be the Titanic brewery in Stoke, when passing through in May, to pick up some of their choc 'n' van stouts.....

I hadn't realised it was a case of beery top trumps!

I'm also drinking coffee, from a thermal mug (and eating a raspberry croissant) whilst sat on a bench at the cliff top at Shanklin.
Rode in to town to see if my mum's prescription was ready, got to go back in 10 minutes, but came prepared for such eventualities.

It also appears that most of the UK has come here for Easter, don't remember it being this busy since the 70s.
