In the interests of "all's well that ends well" I'd just like to record that everyone got back to the school safe and sound and No Bikepackers Were Harmed In The Making Of The Cafe Racer.

At least they acted like a decent human being and took the picture in landscape alignment.
Re: WRT entries open.
This will be my first WRT. Looking forward to it. I’m slowly making the jump from Road to Adventure!
Hopefully I can make a small donation for a route (as suggested elsewhere) as I can’t map read for toffee
Any suggestions for tyres to run? I usually run 38 or 40 pathfinder pro with tubeless set up. I can run up to 46.

Larger volume tyres won't do any harm but (a) you could work a route out around the bike (b) I will be producing a 'gravel friendly' route.Any suggestions for tyres to run? I usually run 38 or 40 pathfinder pro with tubeless set up. I can run up to 46.

Which way do you think we will be sent this year?
North, South, East or West?

Or none of the above
.
I've decided. This year I'm only going to visit the GR that will be positioned 200 yards offshore in Cardigan Bay and none of the others.

Re: WRT entries open.
I'm just hoping that there's a grid ref anywhere near my Winter Event route, or last years BB200 route, as that's pretty much what I'm linking up...
There are theories at the bottom of my jargon.

Everybody else on the planet thinks doing the washing up is a desperately tedious chore, but Reg loves doing it, for two reasons, so there's my attitude to "chores" summed up!Bearbonesnorm wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 6:58 pmGood God, you make it sound like a chore manTrain bike reservations just sorted, so got to go now.![]()

Re: WRT entries open.
Just an update about the night before the WRT.
If you fancy meeting a few others for a drink or seven, we'll be meeting on the Friday evening "up the road" from Bear Bones Towers at the Wynnstay Inn.
There's a car park opposite for those of us with vans to sleep in.
The Wynnstay has cheap rooms (they are cheap for a good reason) with an update is due. so grab a cheap one before the new owners take over

Pub and car park for the overnight vanners
