I've got a Hope EVO2 rear hub that I ran as 135mm QR. I am wanting to convert this to run as a 142mm thru hub.
This should be straightforward but is far from it. 1st I bought some Through axle ends which basically just turn the hub into 135mm x 12mm.
Next buy a Pro2 kit from SJS with axle which doesn't fit (15mm not 17mm)
There are lots of theoretical solutions out there, but I'm struggling to find the right one.
So if you have a 142mm 12mm EVO2 hub or the endcaps to make mine good, or any useful advice please let me know.

Assuming a Shimano Hyperglide freehub (normal cassette). You just need the Pro2 evo / Pro4 X12 end caps.

Thanks, I've ordered the 12mm bolt through which hopefully (this time) is the right thing.

i had a whole experience with this or something similar. where i bought the wrong hub and the wrong endcabs and the ...you get the picture.
got the right endcaps end the end and brought the lot to some local retired 80something year old engineer/machine shop fella who drilled the hub out bigger for me so the surly through axel would fit through the hub

The actual Hope part number is HUB242 the X12 description differentiates from the older 12x135 standard. I also learned this the hard way when bought my Turner Sultan in 2013Richpips wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 7:49 pmHi Andy, wriggles wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 6:33 pm Rich
