Hey all - first time posting here..
Looking at doing something like this route: http://www.mikesteegmans.com/girona-brava-bikepacking next week.
Am looking at OpenCycleMap.org and it seems like there's a recognised route of sorts from Cap Creus going west - anyone know what that route actually is? I assume it's a signed bikepath type route - just wanted to find out what it was!

Cheers,

Google maps is often your friend for this sort of thing - you can see a chunk of that on Streetview/Satellite view. Goes from tarmac to a gravelly double-track and back t tarmac on the north coast by the looks of it.
Route looks interesting.

Re: Girona / Costa Brava route
Yup, I know the route going west from Cap de Creus, it's the first section of the Transpyrenees that continues for over 1,000km to Irun. Not to be confused with the Transpyr mtb stage race. I did it a few years ago in 12 days and relied on a gps track I'd found on wikiloc. To be honest, in this area wikiloc is the best resource, they are actually based in Girona and now have Bikepacking as a specific activity as well as gravel trails so you don't end up on anything too technical, unless you want technical of course.
Other routes to consider are the Cataluña Trail https://catalunyatrail.com/en/catalunya-trail-en/which starts from Girona and the Pirinexus which crosses into France and back over 360km, I did it non stop in 17 hours but it makes for a nice 3 day trip as well. It's getting relatively chilly at the moment, nighttime definitely in single figures but sunny days. If you fancy something further south, I'm the other end of Cataluña and can sort some detailled routes for you around here. As suggested pm me.

Thanks for the info -
We were actually after a route that was something like the Catalunya trail and the Pirinexus - when we found this one on Mike's website - it seemed to be a good combo. We'll be on MTBs but with G-One all-round 27x2.8 tires - so long as there's no mud, they're pretty good at road, gravel and singletrack.
We're driving to Roses on Saturday (from home in the alps) so will join the route half way. The weather is looking ok next week at the moment - some cloud to keep the temps in double figures overnight hopefully!
Cheers
