A mate is celebrating his 50th in September and wants to go to far west of scotland walking with friends. He is looking at Knoydart up to Cape Wrath. I will probably join them but thought i would sneak in a 2-3day bike packing trip while up there.
I was wondering if the collective experience on here had any ideas or knew of any existing routes that are worth doing? My Initial thoughts are a crossing from Shiel Bridge to Glen Affric or Torridon looks to have lots of promising routes.

Unless you like hike-a-hike (and I mean really like) i'd discount Shiel Bridge to Glen Affric. Anything west of Camban Bothy is a carry.
Torridon is great for day rides, but may not work out too well from a Bikepacking perspective. There may be some good there and back routes on offer.
Have a look at the new section of the Highland Trail and start from Oykel Bridge?
