Holy Smokes! Imagine if that gear was all packed on his bike, it would have been 57lbs
Looks like an amazing location, and good riding too.

Lovely pictures ... but they weren't half carrying some poor show
Under cooking gear, did I miss mention of stove / fuel, etc?

Oddly, I think 56lb is about average at the WRT weigh-in :)Holy Smokes! Imagine if that gear was all packed on his bike, it would have been 57lbs
May the bridges you burn light your way

I like the addition of pruning saw to the kit list.
Will there be an opportunity for a camp fire at the winter bivvy? If so, I'll bring my saw too :)

I'm no super light packer but WTF?
I'm even planning on a couple of ciders in the bag for the winter bivi but it still wouldn't be that heavy.

That weight in a rucksack would kill my back and wonky shoulder

Re: Bikepacking on pinkbike!
I think that's the same area the article on bike packing in the new Singletrack is from. Oddly, it looks like a different three guys but they made the same choice of MASSIVE rucksacks.
