No probs Stu, my second option if the weather is bad is Cadair as the shelter on top makes for a dryer/warmer night!
Re: a proper xmas bivy anyone?
I've just been given a pass! I'm at the in-laws in Beaumaris for Christmas - as long as I'm not back too late on Christmas Day it could be a goer! Cadair is probably a bit to far south for me to make it but don't work around me

What are your timings Mike? Up the Llanberis in the dark and down the Rangers in the morning?
I may have just had a slightly one sided conversation that went something like - just go, stop being soft and just go :?

Quite jealous - its my birthday xmas eve would have been a brilliant way to spend it, think my brood would miss me (or my cooking at least!)

Re: a proper xmas bivy anyone?
Whilst I'd never get away with doing this Xmas, I have been contemplating seeing if I can get away with something like this on nye! Think the missus is hankering to go out so I'll be lookig after the little un! Pretty jealous!

I'm a doubtful - the Mrs is OK with it but it seems a bit unfair on the kids. I'll make sure I take all my o/n kit with me and see how it goes
