Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
I'm out for the next 2 weeks anyhow, I'm on night shifts.
Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
Anybody fancy it tomorrow night?
If it's just me I might try the maiden voyage on the straggler, otherwise will bring the MTb.

I'll be there for 7.15ish. See you then.
Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
Jolly good pal. See you there
Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
Now that was a cracking ride, lovely cold night too. Feel like the trails might harden up soon :D

Just Paul and I in the end. A nice 12 mile loop on a crystal clear and fairly cold night.

A good night out, you cant beat those cold and clear nights, just need a bit of a freeze.
Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
Sorry to have missed it. It took me 4 hours to get home from work, bedlam!

Really want to join you for one of these - but struggle to get the timings right with work and kids. Where and when are you planning on meeting tonight?
Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
bamford side of ladybower tonight is the plan as far as I'm aware.
7 to 7:15 ish.
About an hour and a half ride is the general plan.
Would somewhere a bit different work better for you, I'm sure we could move the location a bit (though it may be late notice tonight for some)

I'm planning on being there. Can meet elsewhere though if easier. Can pick up in hathersage if needed.
So long we have a plan by 6pm or thereabouts

Babysitter is dragging her heels, will definitely organise for next monday. I should be able to leave sheffield just after 6 so 7 at bamford will hopefully work.

Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
I am at Gleadless. It shouldn't be a problem to organise for next monday. Shame the babysitter couldn't make tonight because it seemed a good night for it. Had been nursing a sore hip but after the stw ride at the weekend it seems to have held up quite well, need to up my miles again!

Re: Regular Peak District Night Ride?
Good turnout this evening. Dave, Paul, Mark and I.
A Superb ride But including backtracking to search for my lost car key. It was fine though, I'd left it in the car door for safekeeping
Then (with car keys shut in my pocket) Up the rocky track next to the ladybower pub (which I cleaned for the first time :D ) then up onto derwent which is very dry for the time of year and was great rocky fun then a lovely grassy and rocky decent back down to abbey brook and the track back.

Cracking ride, really good to get on new trails. Think that would be just as good a ride in reverse.

Good call, a bit of a drag up the grass but a brilliant descent !HopeValleyPaul wrote:Cracking ride, really good to get on new trails. Think that would be just as good a ride in reverse.
