1986 Fat Chance £300

Post by Blackhound »

Selling my Fat Chance as I rarely use it. Set up as singlespeed but biopace rings included should you want to return to gears. Also original stem.

It is a 1986 model, possibly the oldest FC in the UK, but I am not sure of this fact. Made of true temper steel in the USA. Answer Hyperlite bar and Selle Italia saddle.

It is a medium sized frame, I would say 5'6" to 5'9". I am at the top of that range and would not recommend for anybody taller.

It looks like a 28 year old bike but has not been abused.

Bell and pedals not included. £300 (and not as quoted in pics, a bit off as I love you all)

OMG, how long is that stem! Should advertise it on retro bike, probably make a fortune.

I did measure it but forgottesn, 115m iirc.

Will try retrobike next, not a member there so going on and flogging something in my first post may not go well. Will try STW as well.

I have to say I have no idea how much it is worth. The later FC's fo for a lot but this is older with early TT steel.

I bought it a few years ago when I had finished putting my daughter through uni as I could not afford one 'back in the day'. In truth not really using it and other projects on the go.

Johnnystorm - it is nearly Christmas and the bike will make you more attractive to the opposite sex ;-)
