Down Mat Recomendations

Post by Chew »

Ok winters on its way and it seems to be a good idea to get a warmer mat to supplement my Neoair.

My Neoair has an R value of 2.5 so i'm unsure if that is sufficient?

Suggestions please :D

I picked up this recently. Only used it once so far and it was great. Hoping to get out this weekend and put it to the test now the temp has dropped. R value of 4.1

I'd suggest the same as Zoglug.

As another PORG you'd only require a 'S' length ... it'll be pretty much full length ;)

I'll second that, just got mine last week, not used in anger yet but quality looks good and the small suits my short a**e stature perfectly :D . Good price too.

Smalls smaller than me though.
I'm 168cm the mats 163cm and i'm sure you'll lose an inch or so due to the curve in the mat?
If its for winter use i'm looking for comfort and at some point i'll probably twin it with a quilt.

Is the pump external or integrated?

Seperate supplied pump.

Trust me (and Ray), you'll be fine with a small. Both my down and syn' mats are S and I use a quilt ... however, I do place my 'pillow' off the mat rather than on top of it.
