To be fair, this is all well confusing :

Strangely I find life even more confusing as I get older if I think about it, so I don’t
Think of it like my breakfast this morning, obviously you need your toast and proper salted butter, then you have options, you can opt for marmalade in which case your probably going to pair it with a nice cup of coffee. Alternatively I could go down the marmite route paired with a strong cup of Assam tea. Neither is wrong, just different options which compliment each other.

The rack option will be deployed for gentle trips with my lad, carrying two bags and other stuff to keep it civilised. The other option will be a Revelate vole seatpack which is only about 6ltr and my sleeping bag stuff into a small handlebar pouch.

Brought a piece of art (IMO) for Butcher. From a lovely ebayer too who described it as 'spring not as tight' cos thats what the shops had told him (trying to sell him a new mech?)... Spring is lovely and tight*. Butcher (the bike) will be so proud...



Oh... and a paint chipped IF Crown Jewel (grovelled some dosh off the missus and indicated that I'd get rid a bike or 2) made its way to mine this aft too (life complete).

*Well ok, upon extra fiddling and stroking it, I know where the bike shop was coming from. Nothing to write home about though...

Sold my Canyon somewhere at the start of lockdowns last year and it funded some safety apparatus for work (so I'll not need to shave my beard which I do love dearly). A few years ago I sold on my Indy Fab for reasons I can't remember properly but potentially to fund the Canyon roadie frame.

Always looked fondly at the Indy Fab Crown Jewel and knew I'd never be able to get my hands on one as they're just too far out of my league (though my car does cost less than my bike/bikes which is a positive... Earlier in the month (last) I helped a mate do a littlw fundraiser (mainly just raising awareness) about some refugee families living on a construction site and struggling to make ends meet.

Some might call it karma, I call it Alhamdulillah (all praise Allah)... Wait... let me get the lovely flower wallpaper out of the shot, as it shouldn't sit well with an Indy Fab...

To top it all off. During the short (work) trip to go collect, a mate had messaged me. That I need to pick up the wheels he'd been holding onto. Totally forget about them, and it turned out he had 3 DA wheels (but worn but freehub good and the front both roll beautiful) and some part used top end cassettes (ten speed).

Happy days (or Alhamdulillah as I'd say )...

Bread boarding that takes me back... To IT training in the 80'S (When hardware knowledge was as important as software knowledge for a technician...). When TTL (74xxx)& Cmos(4xxx) logic chip, microprocessor Z80A, 6502 was a weeks wages. You can buy a shed load for that. A almost lost art...

An Ergon saddle to try on my fat bike. I used to put up with a super hard Selle Italia seat but after multiple repairs with the glue gun it's finally given up the ghost. I thought I'd treat myself to something a bit cushier next (especially as I'm now riding the bike on longer runs since I got the 29er wheels to go on it as well).

Through hole as so old skool technogy. . :lol I bet a, single 32bi microcontroller controller could do all that with a frozen support component. You do mad writing and debugging the code though.

I once had to troubleshoot. A mates maplin time delay loop kit in 1982, never again. In the end Idesoldered every thing and started from stratch it was easier.... "Minimal experience required" Ha- NOT!
