Gorgeous looking thing charity/gifted (for the RNLI as I'm not eligible for charity ) by Piemonster. With the motorbike bag that's been housing the 'gear' for the past 8 months or so.


I figured that if I bought a couple of tiny dry bags I should be able to house the battery and battery/filter thingy in them. Then I'll be 100% waterproofed

Last week actually but he brought a ti wood-stove from Joe's shop.




As you can see, it works a treat, but also works well with Stu's afterburner meths stove. I already have a Pocket (wood) Stove but this is much lighter. The parcel was so light, I was afraid Joe'd forgotten to put the stove in. It's a bit bigger too, so the fire can be bigger making it easier to keep it going.

Just showed this to Joe - he was very pleased. It's really nice to see things in use. Yes these stoves are crazy light and pretty compact too. They have been one of his best-sellers so far.

Just taken delivery of a couple of bits from SportPursuit.

(a) A pair of bibshorts. Not something I have much of and my most-used are at least 10 years old. Thinking I might need more for turbo-ing. I bought the Rivelo cargo bibs which will give me some additional carrying options on real rides too.

(b) A short-sleeved, full-length-zipped top also from Rivelo. Merino/synthetic mix and a few pockets. Might be a gravel/adventure top.

I expect it'll be some time (months) before they are used outdoors. I already have some Rivelo bib 3/4s and I've been happy with those so it wasn't a complete stab in the dark.

I had a satmap for a while and they passed on the large reduction in price for OS mapping that the OS introduced back in 2013 (unlike Garmin) so I think their OS map cards are pretty reasonably priced.
