Cycling Shorts arrived (second run of printing). According to the postcard he's recently moved to Leeds so if anyone wants to go show him the local area then do get in touch...
Some CO2 cartridges. I don't really like using them due to their disposable nature but to reseat a tubeless tyre in the middle of nowhere there's not much choice.
An interesting mix today a book by an old school pal, self published on 'Ama2on' . The Trama Pool by John Kennedy.
Colin mini Gem Food for Free, R. Mabey forging book. Beyond Bilberries, blackberries& rosehips on unsure...
Glow in the dark zip fobs.
Train running gaiters, for general use.
Zip end stops for shortening, repairing zips.
All to go on to lucky Xmas recipients. It's at times like this I regret splashing out on good stuff (that I'd drink) but for other people. I just hanker for it. The number of nearly-not-presents is incredible
Some tyre levers that double as a quick link tool as I don't have conventional laces in my winter Boa riding boots. This was prompted by me trashing a nearly new chain on Sunday and realising that I probably wouldn't have been able to split the quick link on the trail if I'd needed to.
One of these. Part of my 2021 bikepackingbushcraftbivvyamonth thingy. Yes, it's very heavy and bulky as well. But it will look totes artisan with a stainless steel pot hanging over my little wood burning stove. And just wait till I get the wee grill for doing pork chops. Giddyup ...
Two special things - I was hoping they'd arrive before today so the recipients would have them for Christmas. That's now looking unlikely but who knows - maybe a Christmas miracle?. Sorry for the vagueness but they're a surprise
Panasonic Eneloop smart charger
+4 *AA batteries forDakota GPS. (Originally developed by Sanyo)
Eneloop batteries claim to have very low self discharge, almost fit and forget....

How do they behave once recharged, then? stored?
If say a few weeks later, do they still work ?
I use them in my SPOT and I use them other way round (no not +ve to -ve ) I charge them before I use them so I know they are fully charged and then they are stored part charged until the next time I use it when they get charged up again. They always have charge after use and they still have charge when put on to charge for the next use,
I also use them in a headtorch and I just charge them when flat, I have two sets and the spare are left charged ready with no issues.

Last post before Christmas brought me a Dynaplug tubeless kit. I knew it was light, I wasn't expecting it to be so tiny.
My first thought, 'that' ll make ya' eyes water, squeak', also I'd logged onto the wrong forum, for broader minds. Lol
The Dinah Plug, mind boggles...
