I use them in my Dakota and to be fair, they seem to perform like every other quality rechargeable I've used with it.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, charged and left, they do seem to maintain their charge very well.

I use them in my SPOT and I use them other way round (no not +ve to -ve ) I charge them before I use them so I know they are fully charged and then they are stored part charged until the next time I use it when they get charged up again. They always have charge after use and they still have charge when put on to charge for the next use,

I also use them in a headtorch and I just charge them when flat, I have two sets and the spare are left charged ready with no issues.
