Keeping an eye on wifi toothbrushes. Hoping for a decent discount on this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Oral-B-Ultimat ... B089MWJFX2
Was considering a Bluetooth iron too this year but bought the wife some Bluetooth hair straighteners last year and they got hacked so I'm wary of getting my fingers burnt again.

Would have served you right if you'd have tried to straighten your hair

I'm sure there must be at least 105 cranks on this forum.

It's not down, so is consequently pretty heavy.Callmedave wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 6:34 pm Not sure if it's a black friday promotion but Decathlon have their Forclaz padded hooded jacket on sale for half price at £15

Yeah I wasn't sure if it was best to get a down one or the synthetic one. There is 110g in it. The down one is 2.5x more expensive and not good damp.

I have the one without the hood - recommend. Edit: the jacket in general, with or without the hood, that is.

Re: Black Friday deals
They are pretty damn good and not what I would consider heavy (but I'm not a weight-weenie). I picked one up after they were mentioned on here before by Jameso etc. For the price I paid I though it was good value, for that current price they are well worth it, without any hesitation.thenorthwind wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 9:41 am I have the one without the hood - recommend. Down is probably a bit better, lighter and warmer but the Forclaz is just "fit and forget" (kinda

My two minor criticisms are that the tag at the neck is a touch itchy and the liner could do with a line of stitching or something. On my jacket the liner is a touch looser and there is a slight tendency for it to creep or be pulled out beyond the cuff (e.g. when pushing it up my arms and then back down). They're small issues and at the price irrelevant.
Sorry to bang on but at <£20 for a decent warm jacket I think it's one of the bargains of the century

Re: Black Friday deals
I've literally just taken delivery of one of those Forclaz jackets, albeit in a size/age 8-9 for my daughter! The irony of course is that the kids version is 20 quid! Looks really good for the money and has thumb loop cuffs etc. I wanted something for us to have on the tandem if she got cold so ability to get wet, dirty and so on trumped having a down version.

I was wavering but I don't think they have my size in a colour other than black!voodoo_simon wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 11:55 am Just ordered one of those jackets, be good to wear under my work jacket this winter (work outside)![]()

Re: Black Friday deals
<Sigh> Usually avoid anything Black Friday related on principle, but I've been looking at getting another Columbia Outdry jacket, and I know they're popular on here.
There's a code VIP-NEWSLETTER which gets you some extra off, even on already reduced stuff, at their webshop columbiasportswear.co.uk.
Makes an Outdry Ex lightweight £100 delivered
Ex ECO £90 (only small available)
Reign £108.50 (it was that price the other day mind, but still a good jacket for the money)
