And brought something rather sculpture looking (I hope) from the nice folks at CRC...

... and brought 2 new tyres.
Schwalbe Magic Mary Super and Big Betty, both in 29 x 2.4", Super Trail and Addix Soft.
250 g heavier per tyre (compared to the former Magic Mary or Hans Dampf in Snakeskin version) but by the feel of the sidewalls, they should offer more protection against pinch flats.
Despite them being heavier, I'm convinced they'll offer more performance.

What did you get Tony (the groupset, not interested in your undies ....) Spa Cycles like SJS Cycles often seem to have stuff you just cannot find elsewhere. Their wheel building is top notch too.

Nice. You won't be disappointed in the wheels. I've had two sets off them over the years, both 700c touring builds, and they were absolutely bomb proof.

An extremely bright fleecy buff on account of being the fastest recogniser of Dylan lyrics on the forum, which is an achievement I will surely never top. Thanks Stu

Shall settle in and start reading, we’ll, if the dog stops savaging the empty Vimto bottle, too much racket to concentrate.

Quite impressed that your dog has a taste for Vimto.

Re: The post man's been ...
I've been after a pair of these pedals for an age. The dirt cheap, knackered, plastic ones I bought fifteen odd years ago, can finally go in the bin.

They also brought some Merrell Trail Glove 5 Eco, but they're not wide enough, so are going back.

Re: The post man's been ...
A few things arrived over the days (DA rear caliper, 83g stem, etc) but the one causing the most excitement was the Ritchey WCS headset. Got a tapered 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 so it only the top end that fits. Saved about 3g but more importantly, everything is now sat flush and neat.
For some reason whenever I meet Ritchey WCS components it really makes the day. Might be how smooth and comfortable I've found their/his stuff in the past... Dunno, anyway, its nice

...and delivered another 1.5kg of coffee. That's about a month's worth ATM
Also thought I was getting a another delivery. Got a knock on the door and there was a delivery driver standing outside. Look down and there's a bunch of Greggs bags on the doorstep. Has some kind stranger ordered me surprise pastry?
No, for next door

I'll use the hole for the safety cord on this one.
To justify the cost of shipping from the Netherlands, I bought a pair of lightweight pogies as well

Think of a flat spade for transferring pizza to and from an oven.
