The route appears to go the wrong way down one way streets in both Crickhowell and Builth. I've re-routed on the shortest legal route, but just wanted to check that this won't result in a DNF?!

Apologies, oversight on my behalf. Certainly won't result in a DNF - I'd advise everyone to apply common sense and detour those bits or simply walk them.

Flintshire - 45
Carmarthenshire - 67
Neath- Port Talbot - 49
Bridgend - 109
Cardiff - 76

Our local area, Craven - 110 but we are not in lockdown/under restrictions yet Lancaster with 50 is.

I didn’t say it wasn’t a farce.
No one knows the actual numbers to any degree of accuracy but they are definitely rising fast.
Everyone knows the rules/guidance are/is straight out of Monty Python but this is the situation we are living in.
The thing that it’s hard to argue against is that unnecessary travel in a pandemic isn’t sensible and Mr Drakeford is making a reasonable point.

More Bengali community in Lancaster Bob. They obviously don't know how to follow 2m guidance rules and more at risk from it (the Covid) hurting em. So the govt obviously feel more inclined to 'care' for their needs....

Same way the new lockdown rules came in overnight, the night before eid, that no visiting families in gardens but pub crawling is (was... but I lost track) still OK. Thankfully the govt somehow still feel the 'Muzlamic' community can still be trusted to visit the masjid with social distance and masks insitu...

Lol... In addition to what I said I do agree with Luke that caution is always better. I'll be riding the BB200 (well will try to not start crying midway wanting my mum) but will taking the precaution approach. Taking the stove and will buy some soup or watery pasta (whatever the word is)enroute and will try not to kiss any locals...

yup... Thankfully it's back. For a brief period I was (almost) beardless (personal choice as potentially lives were at stake)... Thankfully its back and I feel whole again

If this sh1t-show continues leaving us all confused and bewildered, then the window for riding will be extended. I was going to say that things can't go on like this forever but on reflection, it appears they probably can.

You probably don't have something like Betsi Cadwaldr Uni Health Board dealing with it Bob... Welsh Government seem to be pretty prudent as I suspect the system is stretched and in special measures up here... But the rates/data underline the apparent inconsistencies in dealing with the whole thing.
Like Jeff some peace and quiet might be nice for a bit ;-)

Just to clarify (for me) the riding window. The email says

You have from October 1st until November 1st to ride the route

So if I start on the 31st Oct and finish on the 1st Nov is that inside the window? Considering starting on the 31st as

a) gives me the most recovery time post Scotland
b) the added peril of leaving it to the last minute
c) if it ends up raining the whole time I wont then spend the whole ride wishing I'd waited in case the weather is better the following weekend*
d) it's a full moon**

* Of course it will be sunny every weekend up to then
