SPOT GEN 3 GREEN SOS / HELP LIGHTS WHEN TURNING ON

Hi

I have a gen 3 still in subscription, changed batteries and when it's trying to be turned on, it's just showing a solid green light on both the help and SOS buttons, then not turning on.

Last time I used it was on the YD300 - was working just fine.


Any ideas?

On Page 5 it suggests this is part of the LED test sequence.

Once the HELP and S.O.S. LEDs turn green, you will have approximately 5 seconds to complete step 2 and another 5 seconds to complete step 3. Otherwise the test sequence will time out and you will have to start over.

On the quick start guide (https://www.findmespot.com/SPOT/media/D ... versal.pdf) it says to perform the LED/button test

Press & hold the TRACK button followed by the POWER button. Hold for approximately 3 seconds.

which then gives

The HELP and S.O.S. LEDs should turn green.

Maybe if you are only pressing the power button, the track button is broken or depressed somehow?

Last time I used it, it was extremely rainy. I think the rain has killed it.... 2 weeks before auto renew from spot.... Credit card has expired and they haven't got back to me re renewing my contract. So I'll be getting a Garmin inreach mini or 66i...
